EUPJ – Special edition

Dear Members and Friends of the European Union for Progressive Judaism,

It’s official. The EUPJ has opened its European Union Office in Brussels. Nearly 100 people attended the November Shabbaton, which marked the occasion and celebrated our achievements in this area.

The weekend gave delegates from almost all EUPJ member countries the chance to connect and re-connect, attend Shabbat services together, tour Brussels, participate in workshops and remember the tragedy of the First World War and Kristallnacht in 1938, but most of all, to celebrate the culmination of nearly two years of planning, talking, networking and more to ensure that Progressive Judaism has a voice in all corners of the European Union and related institutions.

In order to give this event the recognition it deserves, we decided to produce a special edition of the EUPJ newsletter to focus on the opening instead of including it as part of the monthly newsletter. The next issue of the newsletter will therefore be published separately later in the month.

Download the Special Edition now to find out what happened if you weren’t able to attend, or to remind yourself of a successful weekend in Brussels.

And don’t forget to send us your articles and photos from Chanukah as soon as you can.

Chag Chanukah Sameach and Shabbat Shalom

Keep warm this winter!
